As one of the world's most accomplished lensmen, photographer Richard Chenet has been creating stunning images of motorsports and production vehicles for over twenty years.  From Laguna Seca toBMW LeMans, from hot rods to unlimited hydroplanes, Chenet has captured exciting views of the world's most exotic machinery.  Possessing a passion for mechanical motion, Chenet's work also encompasses the people behind the machines.  Over the past two decades, the Pennsylvania native's unrivaled spectrum of photographs--covering fields from Formula One and World Superbike to Indy Cars and NHRA Drag Racing--have appeared in the pages of the world's premier
publications, including Sports Illustrated, Car and Driver, Cycle World,
Road & Track, Playboy, American Rodder,  Details and Smithsonian.  
RaceAlong with 15 years work for his heralded line of enthusiast calendars,
Chenet's professional services has been sought by such communication
powerhouses as Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson, Young & Rubican, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Needham and Grey Advertising just to mention a few. Chenet's capable lens has also been tapped directly by corporations, to create visual messages for Porsche, Motorola, Suzuki, Michelin, Ford and Yamaha among others.  An avid motor-enthusiast, Chenet says he's feels very fortunate to track the efforts and successes of the companies that fuel his interest, and credits that enthusiasm for inspiring his work.  Early in his shooting career, Chenet worked in automotive restoration and body shops to fund his camera purchases.  "I think it helped give me some technical savvy, and an
appreciation of perspective and mechanical beauty."  It may also have
provided Chenet insight into the way light can be harnessed to playMid Ohio across the finish and curves of a vehicle's body--a coveted technique that's become a hallmark of his work.
